Tahun ini, SEVENTEEN dan aespa mendominasi daftar pemenang pengharagaan. SEVENTEEN, boy group Pledis Entertainment, membawa pulang 5 awards. Dua di antaranya adalah Daesang (grand prize).

Sedangkan aespa, girl group besutan SM Entertainment, untuk kali pertama meraih Daesang di ajang MAMA Awards. Tepatnya kategori Song of the Year lewat lagu Supernova. Total, Karina dkk membawa pulang 6 penghargaan.
